Periodic Inspection Report (PIR)
There are no government-approved schemes in the UK that register competent electricians to carry out the periodic inspection and testing of existing electrical installations.
However, the following organisations do register electricians that may be competent to carry out this work, although their schemes may not cover the entire UK.
Before employing an electrician to carry out a PIR, check with the organisation who has registered them to ensure they are approved to carry out this type of work.
